TCL Partners with Vary Tech to Create a Green Future: The Innovative Path of Recycling and Regeneration of Waste Household Appliances

Details
In November 2024, Shantou, Guangdong ushered in a new chapter in the development of circular economy - TCL Circular Economy Industrial Innovation Base was formally put into operation, marking a major breakthrough in the industrial upgrading of Guiyu Circular Economy Industrial Park.

This large base, spanning over 70,000 m2, is equipped with an intelligent logistics system and automated disassembly equipment, achieving full digital management from the recycling, processing to reuse of waste electrical and electronic equipment. Inside the base, workers drive eco-friendly new energy forklifts to precisely transport various types of waste appliances to designated locations. The automated production line then initiates an efficient processing workflow, utilizing advanced processes and fully automated assembly lines to achieve specialized recycling and treatment of different types of waste home appliances.

Waste refrigerators are precisely crushed and sorted, and renewable materials such as plastics, copper, iron and aluminium are precisely separated. Other waste electrical and electronic appliances are systematically disassembled under professional operation and enter the comprehensive recycling process. The whole process is highly automated and the efficiency is significantly improved. The annual processing capacity of the base reaches 200,000 tonnes, and the recycling and disassembly capacity of home appliances can reach 5 million units, effectively alleviating the pressure of waste home appliances processing in the eastern part of Guangdong and even the whole province.

Hunan Vary Tech Co., Ltd. provided core equipment support for this project. Among them, the waste refrigerator disassembly line can process up to 120 units of 170L-220L waste refrigerators per hour, and can even handle large refrigerators over 500L. The comprehensive household appliance disassembly line can meet the disassembly needs of various waste electrical appliances and electronics, including refrigerators, water heaters, and small household appliances.

Vary Tech has collaborated with TCL Environmental Protection in the field of waste home appliance recycling and disassembly for 10 years, with processing efficiency increasing from 40-50 units per hour in 2014 to 120 units per hour in 2023, fully demonstrating the relentless efforts of both parties in technological innovation.

As a pioneer in the domestic waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) disassembly industry, Vary Tech has been leading the way in technological innovation for nearly 20 years. In 2009, it was the first to apply the "double-shaft shredding + vertical crushing" process, establishing its technological leadership. The company adheres to the coordinated development of technology research and operations, has been approved to establish a provincial electronic waste treatment center in the central and western regions, and has disassembled over ten million units of waste home appliances. It has now exported over 100 sets of complete equipment for the recycling and disassembling of waste home appliances to the global market, with its technology having iterated and upgraded to the 7th generation.

Through the recycling of renewable resources, TCL's circular economy industry innovation base is expected to reduce carbon emissions by 32,500 tons annually, making a significant contribution to environmental protection. As the concept of circular economy becomes deeply rooted in people's minds and relevant policies continue to improve, companies like Vary Tech will play an increasingly important role in promoting industry development and achieving sustainable development goals.
