Recently, the "Equipment Renewal Project for Fine Disassembling of Waste Home Appliances in Beihu District Renewable Resources" – a cooperation between Hunan Vary Tech Co., Ltd. and Beihu District Supply and Marketing Cooperatives of Chenzhou City – achieved major progress, with equipment delivered to the project site in batches.
Driven by the national "old for new" policy, Chenzhou City completed the trade-in of 134,100 home appliances (sets) in 2024, and provided "renewal" subsidies for home decoration and kitchen & bathroom products to 28,300 person-times. This drove the sales of related products to RMB 2.344 billion, and promoted a year-on-year growth of 6.3% in the total retail sales of consumer goods under the city’s "old for new" program.
The batch-delivered equipment is mainly used for the fine disassembling of waste home appliances such as washing machines, air conditioners, and refrigerators. After the project is put into operation, it will have the capacity to process 200,000 washing machines, 100,000 air conditioners, and 200,000 refrigerators annually. It will provide solid recycling support for the waste home appliances generated from Chenzhou’s home appliance "old for new" program, thereby effectively promoting the high-quality development of the local home appliance circular economy and renewable resources recycling industry.

After commissioning, the project will realize efficient, automated, digital, and intelligent upgrading of the operation and management of waste home appliance recycling and disassembling.
